A Decade of Darkness, A Life Reclaimed

Lily Rose Lee formerly Michelle Knight was 21 years old when she was kidnapped on August 23, 2002, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was held prisoner by Ariel Castro, suffering abuse at his hands for more than 10 years. After she was freed from captivity, with a rough road ahead she began to heal. She started sharing pieces of her story with the world and would eventually share it all in her memoir  Finding Me: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed: A Memoir of the Cleveland Kidnappings about her experience. Lily is a survivor, and inspiration to us all. She is quoted as saying "I prefer not to put myself in a backwards spiral," "You've got to take the bad in life and replace it with something good. It doesn't matter how many times you have to do it. You just keep on doing it.

Revealing The Missing Pieces

Energizing Strategies for Success

Introducing Cedric "Make It Happen" Brown! It was Cedric’s near death experiences on the streets of Cleveland and his eye opening experience while in a maximum security prison that inspired him to challenge and change his life and become a motivational force and a great resource in the lives of others. In Cedric’s mind, his reckless behavior could have easily led to Ohio’s electric chair. Prior to his incarceration, Cedric was mentally imprisoned, emotionally damaged, and spiritually bankrupt with no knowledge of how to overcome his roadblocks to productive living. He was an uneducated walking time bomb. However, while incarcerated, he developed a desire for a better life. He began by boldly reevaluating his past and current situation, which inspired a vision for something more meaningful. Today, Cedric "Make It Happen" Brown is a human GPS for our youth and young adults. Through his unique "I CAN 2" system he helps youth and young adults navigate from where they are in life to where they really want to be. The same strategies that helped him overcome roadblocks and transform his life while the same strategies that he now shares with others. Academically, he has an Associate of Arts from Ashland University and has released his first book "Plug Into Your Zone."
